Festival of Colours 2022

Festival of Colours is back for 2022!

Join us on Sunday the 27th of February 2022 from 11am – 4pm to celebrate our Festival Of Colours! This event will be held in Torquay, Victoria, and locals and holiday makers are invited to take part in our annual festival. Bring your friends and family, your smile and a white t-shirt for the best results. Entry is free!

What is Festival of Colours?

The Festival of Colours, also known as Holi Festival, celebrates the oneness of the human spirit. It is based upon an ancient festival originating in India where Krishna, the God of play, would engage in throwing coloured powders with His cowherd friends. This time-honoured festival signifies the blooming of colours which manifest with the arrival of autumn and spring. 

Celebrating peace and harmony, and bringing people closer together, this event also gives you a chance to discover the way of life of the members of Hare Krishna Valley.

Kids Activities

This event is family friendly – bring the kids! Come and enjoy live stage entertainment, face painting, fortune telling and kid activities as you soak up the festive atmosphere! Every half-hour we will throw coloured powder into the air with friends and family by the main stage. Colours spring from our hearts and rain from the sky as we dance and sing together! Coloured powder can be purchased online before the day for $10 for 3 packets, which is non-refundable. Vegetarian/vegan snacks and food are also available on-site for purchase for $5-$15.

• This event is alcohol, drug, smoking, anger and meat-free
• Children must be accompanied by parents/guardians
• This event will be cancelled in the case of Extreme/Code Red weather conditions
